Print publications are facing extremely difficult times in the face of advertisers looking to cut costs. We believe strongly that the right type of publications can do well despite this fact. One of those great print resources is the Orlando Women Newspaper. The simple fact that women account for 85% of all consumer spending make this publication a must place to advertise for many types of business.
We began in late 2008 handling the marketing for O.W.N. - this has been a mix of advisory role and service provider. Meeting with the sales force and coming up with plans to increase brand awareness and creative ways to reach advertisers has paid off for Lynne Knowles, publisher of the newspaper. We instituted a newletter to communicate with her potential and existing clients that has actually driven ad sales. Equipping the sales force with the tools they needed, a media kit was created that gives potential advertisers an exciting and honest look at what the paper offers. Then a sales book was developed that could be used for a more in-depth presentation to a client that was interested in advertising plans showing the choices and packages available.
